Description
These traditional Tepis have been lovingly made by Kuntanawa rappé handicrafts experts. They work at the Tete Pawã arts and crafts studio, located in the upper Juruá region of Marechal Thaumaturgo municipality, way up on the Amazon river. The only way to get there is a two day boat journey or with a four seater airplane. It is now in your hands. Use with respect, care and prayer.
Suggested Use
A tepi is a longer applicator used by a server to offer Rappé to another person. It should be used slowly, respectfully, and only with clear consent. The receiver should sit upright, breathe through the mouth, and remain still for a few minutes afterwards. Clean after use and keep it dry between ceremonies. Best used by someone experienced with serving Rappé.
Why it belongs in the bazaar
